Join us for our fourth UnRun Weekend!
The dates this year have moved. Instead of November, we're moving the UnRun to coincide with our 10th Anniversary Party. Yes! The Heart of Texas Bears have been an official club since 1998. To celebrate, in April of 2008 we're going to have a big Anniversary Party weekend, which will include UnRun fun... including the Mr. HOT Bear Contest!
The schedule of events this year is:
- Friday, April 25 — 7pm: Meet and Greet at 'Bout Time. Pick up your run packet with a full schedule with maps and locations. [9601 N. I-H 35, Austin, TX, 78753 (512) 832-5539 map]
- Friday, April 25 — 10pm: Chain Drive Anniversary Party. [504 Willow Street, Austin, TX, 78701, (512) 480-9017 map]
- Saturday, April 26 — 10am: Breakfasts – HOT Bear Members will be hosting at various places around town.
- Saturday, April 26 — Noon: Events Around Austin – HOT Bear Members will be hosting Open Houses, Kayaking, Eeyore's Birthday, Lady Bird Wild Flower Garden, Blanton Gallery Tour, and Shopping (South Congress or The Domain)
- Saturday, April 26 — 6pm: Dinner – on your own (suggestions provided).
- Saturday, April 26 — 10pm: Mr. HOT Bear Contest and Show at the Chain Drive. Check in at the Chain Drive for contestants begins at 8pm. Contest starts at 10pm. Awards for: HOT Bear, HOT Grizzly, HOT Cub, and HOT Polar. Get there early! Last year, there was a line out the door by 10pm. [504 Willow Street, Austin, TX, 78701, (512) 480-9017 map]
- Sunday, April 27 — 10am: Dim Sum Breakfast.
- Sunday, April 27 — 4pm: Lone Star Bear Beer Bust at the Chain Drive hosted by the Lone Star Bears of Austin.
